EIZO, a global leader in high-end monitors and display systems, has rented approx. 3,500 square meters of office space in a new building on Nordpark’s Liverpooler Allee. Building work is underway, with completion scheduled for autumn 2020. The six-storey building is located on an approx. 7,300 square meter plot, with rental space totalling approx. 17,500 square meters. The planners are dreika Planungsgruppe.
The new rental means that EIZO is moving its European location from Helmut-Grashoff-Straße 18 in Nordpark to Liverpooler Allee. The fact that EIZO is relocating – and significantly expanding – its European headquarters within the international business park itself testifies to the importance of Nordpark. “The company could have moved to another city, but preferred to stay in Mönchengladbach. That proves Nordpark is a top address for global players. The Business Park II success story continues”, Dr. Ulrich Schückhaus, Managing Director or WFMG and Chairman of the Board of EWMG, commented. For Dr. Gregor Bonin, too, the decision to stay in Mönchengladbach is eminently logical: “The number of inhabitants and the number of jobs are increasing. We are a growing city and offer good prospects as a business location. The conditions in Mönchengladbach are right, and that holds especially true for Nordpark”, the City Director and Technical City Councillor said. EIZO is in good company – other well-known global companies located in Nordpark include Santander Consumer Bank, van Laack and many more.
Once again, GEBAB Immobilien GmbH & Co. KG is the developer for the new build on the EWMG plot on Liverpooler Allee, supported by WFMG. Markus Brütsch, GEBAB Managing Director, is highlighting the significance of the location with this, the company’s second project following the PASPARTOU office towers: “Nordpark offers companies the complete package, from easy access to local supply and service offerings, or the wide choice of food and beverage options down to excellent transport links to neighbouring metropolitan areas and the Netherlands, not forgetting the Borussiapark event arena and SparkassenPark. That’s a big advantage compared with other locations in the region.”
At least one further major tenant has the opportunity to rent at least 2,000 of the remaining approx. 5,200 square metres at the other end of the 120-metre building with a separate entrance area and dedicated address, creating a stand-alone solution. Up to 200 square metres of warehousing space with external delivery bays is available in the basement. The developer is ready to accommodate the wishes of prospective tenants when designing the space and offers tailor-made planning. For EIZO, for example, a separate, representative reception area with a conference level and showroom is being built on the ground floor which has a ceiling height of four metres and is located at the head of the building. A similar design is feasible for a further major tenant.
There is also generous parking space: an underground car park with some 92 spaces plus a further 63 outdoor parking spaces, along with the nearby P8 car park provide adequate parking for employees and customers. “The new building is indisputably state-of-the-art when it comes to IT data lines as well as cooling and air conditioning. The units are fully equipped, so tenants only need to add their own working materials and are then ready to go”, Norbert Bienen from Bienen & Partner estate agents says, highlighting the benefits of the building. Bienen is responsible for rentals.
